Bio

Jean Sylvestre has been a union representative for the FTQ’s education department since 1990. From 1988 to 1990, he worked at the Montreal Labour Council (CTM), for the region of Montreal, in collaboration with the United Way. Jean became active in the labour movement in the Aluminum, Brick, and Glass Workers International Union (now part of the United Steelworkers of America). He also became involved in the Centre de formation populaire community network.
Jean has a B.A. in Social Sciences and a Masters in Political Science.
