Johanne Deschamps has been working in labour education for several years. She has managed the FTQ’s education department since 1995, following three years of managing the professional development portfolio.
From 1987 to 1992, she was in charge of the FTQ’s courses in labour law and of the training of trade union trainers. Before joining the FTQ, Johanne was in charge of training for the Montreal Labour Council (CTM). Johanne is also a member of the College FTQ-Fonds co-ordination committee.
She is working on her Masters in Sociology at the University of Quebec at Montreal (UQAM).
