Bio
Peter Sawchuck is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology and Equity Studies at OISE/UT. He has a B.Sc. from the University of Waterloo, a Bed. from the University of Western Ontario, and a Masters and Ph.D from the University of Toronto.
Peter currently leads a SSHRC research project on work, learning and technological change in the public sector in Canada, in partnership with the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE-Ontario) and the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU). An earlier research project studied the role of distance education and telelearning programs as a means of labour education.
